Patient/family centered care, quality medical service and emotional/spiritual support for the end of life journey are characteristics of an excellent hospice organization. Hospice care supports both patients and families as end of life decisions need to be made. One positive and generous decision to be considered is cornea donation. Donation becomes a blessing not only to the recipients but to the donor families, allowing them to leave a lasting legacy of compassion for their loved one.
